My Review of Bioderma

Hey all!

I am doing a quick review of Bioderma, a wonderful skincare range recommended by Dermatologists. “Biology at the service of dermatology” – as they call themselves.

I first tried Bioderma a few years ago for my eczema, I knew it was worth a try because of their commitment to sensitive skin and various skin conditions, plus it’s affordable.

They have skincare / suncare / baby care and a load of ranges for different skin needs. I personally have tried the ‘Hydrabio’ range and the ‘Atoderm’ range.

Here are their ranges:

Hydrabio is good for dehydrated skin & atoderm is good for normal, dry to atopic skin. So both work well for me. In general, they all focus on sensitive skin, dry, red, damaged skin.

The products are gentle, you don’t immediately “notice” anything changing when you put it on your skin, but sometimes that’s a good thing. They last a very long time, a little goes a long way with these products. They are all fairly light weight but ultra concentrated.

If you’re suffering from atopic skin, dry skin or itchy skin, give the Atoderm products a go. I use the ATODERM SHOWER OIL to wash, and the ATODERM INTENSIVE BAUME after the shower which is an ultra soothing balm for very dry, itchy skin.

Atoderm Intensive cream quickly stops the itching and reduces the urge to scratch thanks to its anti-itching dermatological active ingredient. It restores the skin barrier so whilst it immediately soothes, it also works medium – long term in maintaining a healthy skin barrier.

After cleansing (or throughout the day if you’re looking for an injection of hydration), definitely try the BIODERMA HYDRABIO SERUM which is a highly concentrated serum enriched with hyaluronic acid. It’s a gel like texture and again, feels quite cooling and refreshing. A good make up base as well. One pump goes a long way, and I have had it for over 6 months and it’s still going!

If you’re looking for a moisturiser, I really love the BIODERMA HYDRABIO CREAM because it’s affordable but very cooling and a little goes a long way so this has lasted me nearly a year and I still haven’t run out. It’s very light so good under make up, but more liquidy than a normal rich cream so for anybody that wants something light with highly concentrated moisture – this is for you.

And separately, I’ve been using the ATODERM SHOWER OIL in my bath – it creates a small amount of bubbles and is very hydrating so definitely worth a try if you don’t love using bubble bath!

Overall – I think BIODERMA is a lovely brand with a super affordable set of skincare ranges for everybody to find something that works for them.

Hope you find something you love!
